Happenings
Taste of Chamblee

For the second consecutive year I had a great time signing books in Chamblee's big annual event. Here I'm with one of the many readers who stopped by.
Johns Creek Literary Fair

I was one of the author-presenters at the annual Johns Creek Literary Fair. Gave the audience a glimpse of "The Corporate Lies" and signed books afterward.

Had a great time signing books at the Hartwell Pre-4th celebration in North Georgia last weekend. Here I am with two of the many readers I met. Many thanks to the Hartwell Service League for sponsoring such a fun event.
Ready to Sign

Set up Saturday 4/20 at the Atlanta Authors Bookstore in the Dunwoody Lemonade Days festival. Nice day, had a good time and signed copies of The Corporate Lies and The Third Gate to Hell.
Honor for The Corporate Lies

Pleased to announce The Corporate Lies is being featured in Shelf Unbound's winter issue in its "2023 Top Notables" section. The online book review magazine reaches 125,000 readers in 75 countries.
Thank you, Chamblee

Spent all afternoon signing books at the Taste of Chamblee, including three for this reader named Tiara! It was a beautiful day full of fun discussions with many readers. Plus, Mathew, Zeina and Lukas came by to feed me and help load the car as night fell. Lucky day all around.
Indie Book Awards

The gala celebration for finalists and winners of the 2023 Next Generation Indie Book Awards was fantastic! I received a finalist medal for my true crime novel, The Third Gate to Hell, presented to me by Marilyn Allen (right), founding partner of Allen O'Shea Literary Agency, and Cathy Teets (left), founder of Headline Books Publishing. Entries were judged from 53 different countries, all 50 U.S. states and every Canadian province. A real honor!
Great Book Club!

Many thanks for the hospitality of the Cameron Park and Glen Book Club. We had a terrific time discussing my books and much more about the world of writing and publishing. Special thanks to Jana Lane for inviting me.
Washington, GA Event

Had fun meeting readers and signing books in Washington, GA on Saturday 4/22. Here I'd just signed a copy of The Corporate Lies for John Barney, a historian from Augusta who has a book and a number of articles to his credit. I'm the one on the right with the windblown hairdo.
The Corporate Lies Launch Party

I was overwhelmed by the turnout when 65 people came to my event to celebrate the launch of The Corporate Lies. Some brought books they had already purchased on Amazon or elsewhere so I could sign and personalize them. (Some had read it on Kindle.) Meanwhile, 62 books flew off my display racks! Thanks, everyone, for making it a memorable evening.
More about the Launch Party

The crowd at my launch event made it much more than a signing--it was a real party! Signing and personalizing books kept me pretty busy, but I was grateful to have some opportunities to visit with many long-time friends.
Fun Time in Lilburn

The sky was brilliant blue, the weather was breezy and cool, and a steady stream of readers came by to discuss writing and publishing and get one or more books signed. Had a terrific time at the annual Lilburn Daze fall festival. Here I'm signing a book for Cindi. Thanks to the Lilburn Women's Club for sponsoring.
Hartwell pre-4th celebration

Put in an appearance at the Lake Hartwell pre-4th event sponsored by the Hartwell Service League. Hundreds of local residents and visitors to the lake turned out, and it was a lot of fun, chatting with book lovers, including this delightful couple, and sending them away with my signed books.
Dunwoody Lemonade Days

Joined other members and friends of the Atlanta Writers Club at the Dunwoody Preservation Trust Lemonade Days Festival's book store on Saturday and Sunday, April 23-24. I signed a copy of The Blue Wall for this reader who says he averages four books a week, mostly thrillers. I also signed The Third Gate to Hell at the event and was invited to speak at a book club and also at a senior citizen event later this year.
Magnolia Fine Arts Festival

Had a great time last weekend signing books at the Magnolia Fine Arts Festival in Peachtree City. Beautiful setting at Drake Field on the banks of Lake Peachtree, next to the Peachtree City Library. Signed 35 books and visited with some fantastic readers. Pictured here with Bill and Penny Cliff and their daughter. The Cliffs said they plan to read The Third Gate to Hell together.
Magnolia Arts

All set up and ready to rock and roll (and sign). Peachtree City's Magnolia Fine Arts Festival is in a beautiful setting on the banks of Lake Peachtree. I signed a bunch of books and met a lot of fascinating readers.
Book Launch Event

A wine store tasting room in Johns Creek, GA was the scene of my "Belated Book Launch" event, delayed from earlier in the year by COVID. Had a great time visiting with readers/friends and signing books, including this copy of The Third Gate to Hell for George McCallum.
Grayson Signing

Had a great day signing books at Grayson, GA's "Christmas in July" celebration. Met a lot of super people and signed 21 books, including this copy of The Third Gate to Hell for Thekla Wright. Thekla is a new writer of Christian non-fiction, and you can find her books on Amazon.
Book Signing

Enjoyed signing copies of The Third Gate to Hell for several attendees at a social function last weekend. Here I was signing a copy for Nina while Billy Joe (right) looks on.
Support Your Local Bookstore

Remember to support your local independent bookstores, especially since their foot traffic was dramatically impacted by COVID. I’m happy to announce Johns Creek Books & Gifts on Medlock Bridge in north Fulton County, Georgia, has consigned my new novel. If you're in the area, drop in and see their local authors shelf. https://www.johnscreekbooks.com
